Blood boiling!
To see lovely people put themselves out there and get attacked and hurt. People who have worked hard, done their best and absolutely shined bright only to have the Tall Poppy Choppers come in and take a swipe.
My skin thickened up a long ago and it’s now water off a duck’s back if someone slings a bit of mud my way.
HOWEVER, to see and hear this happening to others who are so vulnerable has a lit a raging fire in me.
This Poppy Chopping is vicious nasty, nasty f**king oxygen thieving behaviour. Is that really how you want to be? Is that WHO you want to be? Does it serve you? Of course it doesn’t serve you!
AND FURTHERMORE: You won’t stop these amazing people from continuing to reach their goals. You know why?
For one, they’ll learn to understand that your behaviour is f**ked up and to use your attempts to squish them as a driving force to push them onwards.
You know why else you won’t stop them? Because others like me will lift these people and encourage them to reach their goals, to become more resilient.
So CONGRATULATIONS you nasty f**king Tall Poppy Choppers – each time you sling some poop you do your would-be-victims a massive favour! Huzzah!!
They learn to succeed in spite of your nastiness plus they have me and a bunch of other like-minded people beside them 110% who will not tolerate it, who will encourage the targets to stand tall & shine bright!
YOU ARE OUT-NUMBERED, OUTSHONE, OUT-GUNNED.
Make the choice – stop your nasty crap and become a better person or take that toxic waste that you spew & f**k off.
I’ve written this blog post tonight after posting something similar on Facebook earlier in an outburst triggered by what I have observed lately and hearing about some recent events occurring in our community. It’s not a new issue… it’s grinds me at various times when I observe the Tall Poppy Syndrome in action. …but I am really fired up about it now. I thought I had a lot more to say beyond my initial Facebook rant but really, what I’ve posted above covers it! I stand by it.
I’ll not stay silent about this destructive, toxic and revolting behaviour that a small minority engage in. I choose to STAND. I choose to encourage those who are the targets & victims to become empowered and resilient.

I WILL NOT STAND BY IN SILENCE & ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN.

For those who have been hurt by the crap slung your way in recent weeks / months (or ever!) let it go and move on. Life is too short. It’s about them, not you.
Rise above it. Shine on! Onwards and upwards.
Yadda Yadda Yadda!
Remember to SHINE ON! I have posted a follow up post with some quotes and images that I hope will make you smile. Share them around if you feel the same! xx Ange
