5 Rounds of 12WBT Done & Dusted!
I completed Round 3 2011 of Michelle Bridges‘ 12 Week Body Transformation (12WBT) and as always – it was a very different round to the previous ones. There are always new and unexpected challenges. It is such an adventure.
At the very beginning of this round I fell on my tail bone and did some serious damage to all the surrounding bits & pieces. My plans to do Lean & Strong again for the second time were out the window. Frustrated! Disappointed! I have blogged a little about how my plans for the round were disrupted. Given this big change of plans, the round became more about eating clean and rehabilitation rather than smashing out 6 days a week of training and pushing to new levels in strength and endurance.
I was so pleased with my results from this round – summarised here - I dubbed it me ‘Lean & Clean 12WBT’ round! Despite limited training, I still lost another 14cm and in the final 4 weeks (when I has just started measure them), gained 2.5cm on each bicep!
After 5 rounds of 12WBT I have lost 163cm & 40kg in total!! I have lost 26cm from my chest, a whopping 42cm from my waist, 23cm from my hips and 16cm from each thigh!!

Here is an updated composite picture of my transformation with 12WBT.
I started in Round 2 2010. I did 2 x 12 week challenges of the standard program, then graduated to Lean & Fit for Round 1m 2011 and I have just completed my first round of Lean & Strong in Round 2, 2011. 40kg gone, all 100% through Mish’s 12WBT during 48 weeks of ‘challenge time’ over 14 months. I signed up toward the end of the pre-season for Round 2, 2010 knowing I needed to do something but my head was not 100% in it. I just knew for my health I had to lose weight ASAP. Mish’s pre-season tasks soon got my head in the right space and I have not looked back for a second. Don’t think, just do!! If you do what Mish asks, you will get results. Here are some recent posts about my latest results: Final results for Rd 2, 2011; Week 12 Wrap; and Farewell to 40kg: Feeling & Seeing the difference.

Here’s my after shot for this round. This composite has my before shot for my first 12WBT round then my end out round pics for Rd 2 & 3 2010 and Rd 1 2011. 12WBT works. I have proven this to myself x 3 now. Beyond doubt. This scientist is sold, Mish’s methods work.

Hi Ange,
You truly are an inspiration. My journey on 12WBT round 1 2011 was a bit of a fizzer, but I am on track for round 2 now and am gobsmacked by your blog.
Congratulations on your whole journey.
Lisa.

Spent some time looking at your page today – what an inspiration, and you’re always there with positive comments on Facebook – Thanks Angela! Cheers, Jennifer Tancredi (Jentank)
Hi
I have just discovered your page here. Wow what an outstanding achievement. I started this round but have struggled heaps due to a pretty emotional and stressful period with my dad passing away and just haven’t been able to get it together. We weren’t very close and maybe that is why i am struggling now as it has been almost 6 weeks since his death.
My motivation has plummeted and looking at your transformation i realise it is possible to turn things around. I need to keep at things and not give up. You are an inspiration. Congratulations on a marvellous transformation.
Regards
Lizzy
Thank you so much Lizzy. I am sorry to hear about your sad news. These times are extremely hard. I hope things are looking up for you. xx

Wow Gen! Thank you for sharing my blog around! Really had no concept of what this blogging thing was or what adventures I could have with it when I started! It was my way to increase my accountability… I got that from it and more!! Hope you are still chasing down your goals and doing well! xx
I link to your pictures when I tell people “this is what I want to look like”!
Amaaaazing transformation you have there! I’m starting my first 12WBT tomorrow and I’m totally pumped!

Wow. Just wow! I am definitely inspired!
Love the title of your blog! And thank you
Bloody Amazing effort.
Thank you Kylie. I am bloody happy that I was able to turn my life around! xx
Wow you are seriously amazing! I really needed to see your blog today. I have been doing round 3 (first timer) and whilst i’m making progress mentally and have made enormous changes to my eating habits and am now exercising I still slip up at times and miss a training session or have too many calories and I’m getting scared of failing yet another mission to lose weight. I’m really glad to have read your story. You are truely amazing. How do I get a blog by the way?
Hey Elle! Isn’t it funny how sometimes we see or hear what we need to? Love it when that happens! It can turn your day around, it can make a light bulb flick on! No one is perfect and goodness me how boring would that be?! We all miss training sessions, we all are sometimes a bit looser with our nutrition than we planned or have a few more champagnes than we know is advisable if we want to achieve our current goals. I think there has to be balance. It is what you do MOST of the time that matters. You can set up a free wordpress blog at wordpress.com! Best of luck! xx

Hi Ange
You look incredible! I will definitely be following your blog to be motivated and inspired!. I have just started my first 12wbt. I am nervous about the unkown, scared of the pain and afraid of failing (which is what has happened in the past!) I have 15kgs to lose after 2 kids & a bucket load of bad habits … now its ME time, I want my body back!
Thanks for sharing your life and helping to ignite the fire in mine!
Jo
WOW OH BLOODY WOW!!!! It’s hard to believe this is the same person. You look HOT! What an amazing story and a total inspiration to others!! You should be the 12WBT poster girl!! Amazing job xx

You look great and are such an inspiration!! Keep up the awesome work and I look forward to reading more posts!
I needed to read this again more than ever. I’m tempted to ask how much you lost per round but I already know that we shouldn’t be comparing. I’ve had two weeks in a row with a gain and I can explain both with unclean eating. I’m now back on track and focussed again and I’m reassessing my goals for the first round. With 4 weeks to go, is 6kg still achievable? I guess time will tell. The maths is telling me it IS achievable. Thanks again for always inspiring me and helping me rise above it all xo
Wow what an amazing journey! You are an inspiration!! I did round 2 and failed
I am about to have my 3rd child and want to sign up for the next round but I’m just not sure if I will succeed…. Reading about you gives me more encouragement, so thank you
OMG! you are AMAZING! What a fantastic journey you have been on, and what an inspiration you are. I have just signed on to Round 2 and really needed to find you blog – now I BELIEVE! I only hope I can do half as good as you have done. What an inspiration, I can’t believe your total transformation – you are a WINNER. Your pictures have given me so much encouragement, I am going to take some pics tomorrow morning, and get started, I have 20+ kgs to lose and being a senior, I know it is not going to be easy, but I am ready and now, raring to go. Thank you so much for sharing and giving those of us ‘just starting’ some genuine results to achieve. Cheers H
Ok thats it! you have inspired me to continue -and get htat photo taken – off to Round 2 – your story of persistence absolutely spot on Thank youxx
