Pain in Paradise (PIP) Bootcamp in New Farm Park continues in 2013 – now weekly on Sundays at 6.30am!  We meet at the Oval (soccer fields) in New Farm Park. Just $10pp, all welcome. Little ones are welcome – there is a playground and teens can train with us for FREE.

The focus is on fun & fitness – getting in and having a go! YOU work at the intensity that you choose. Suits all levels: no comparisons. We start together & finish together. Check out the Facebook page here

PIP Bootcamp sessions  were created by 12WBT members FOR 12WBT members! Sessions are now run by Ange, 12WBT ‘Success Story‘,  qualified trainer, scientist and lecturer/researcher in medicine, health and disease prevention.

PIP Bootcamps commenced in late 2010 with a small group of us scrambling to get at least 5 people together every fortnight for an outdoor workout with a PT with the aim of encouraging one another and having fun. It has evolved over time to be a weekly event with numbers varying week to week.   PIP has grown into an institution all on it’s own and welcomes anyone who is looking to get fitter and have fun in the process!

Whether there are 3 people or 33, PIP Bootcamp is on rain, hail or shine. At the beginning of a 12WBT round the sessions can be very large (and with notice, extra an PT comes along to help!) but numbers settle to around average of 10 – 20 per session during the round. We have special ‘themed’ PIPs from time to time, as members suggest it. Themes such as GI Jane, Superheroes or anything else the Queensland Crew can dream up! A great excuse to put on a costume and have some crazy fun!

These sessions suit all levels and injuries can be catered for. You work at the pace that you need to – we start together and finish together. No comparisons, no one left out or left behind. Beginners & those new to exercise are very welcome – in fact this is ideal for you and there are many other newbies. Those who have been exercising for a while will get an awesome work out as well as the sessions are designed so that YOU can push yourself hard regardless of your fitness level! You will be with people who mostly have lost enormous amounts of weight, or are in the process of shedding those kilos or are just starting out – so there is a pretty good chance you will find someone who is at the same stage as you, or has been at the stage you are currently at!

Sessions are still just $10 per person & better value than ever before. RSVP via the Facebook event page is great to facilitate planning though we can deal with some walk-ins on the day! There is no pre-payment, no fuss. Come if you can and enjoy a terrific workout with a fantastic bunch of people.

Weekly on Sundays from 6.30am – 7.30am in New Farm Park with optional meditation after. Meet on the Soccer Field. BYO water and towel.

All welcome – 12WBTers, 12WBT alumni & non-12WBTers alike!!   Teenagers and adults. Blokes and kids! There is a playground nearby for the little ones – they are very welcome to tag along.

Many PIPsters organise to have a coffee or breakfast nearby.

Often in weeks 1, 4, 8 and 12 of a 12WBT round a member will organise a picnic breakfast for 12WBT members to meet & catch up. You are weclome to come to that even if not attending PIP Bootcamp. Stay tuned to the Facebook page for info.

Don’t be scared – this is a friendly, supportive group that welcomes all. Come along & meet others who will share your goals and cheer you on! If you have any questions, suggestions or requests for sessions in other areas please contact Angela via the facebook page or leave a message below. Hope to see you there!!
